Tach is slow

My Tach is a bit off, Mercruiser 888 (302 V8) , I have checked all connections and they seem sound.

When in operation I am seeing around 2500-3000 RPM'S, When at idle the tach is at 0.


Anything to look at here?

Yes -- the back of the tach. Make sure the settings are correct.
