1991 Bayliner Capri Restore Questions?

As the title says, got the boat and motor for 600 bucks, but the wood floor seems to be pretty roten, so I have plans of ripping it up and making a new one, the question I have is:
Is the wood just PT Plywood?
And when installing it do I coat the bottom of the wood before I install it?

ACX is exterior plywood with one good side. You don't need to use pressure treated, but if you do, you have to let it dry out completely.

Ayuh,... 1 side is "A" grade,...
1 side is "C" grade,...
And it's built with eXterior glue...

Take a few hours and read some threads here in this section. That will give you lots of information, and tell you how to proceed.

(Or, like it did me, you'll be confused for a few days until the light bulb finally turns on and you have the AH HA moment! )

you need to coat the deck with fiberglass mat/cloth and resin preferably on both sides. I have a 1990 bayliner capri, and when i pulled my rotten deck, my stringers and transom had rotted too even though they seemed sound on the exterior so make sure you check those as well while you have the deck out.

it took me 15 gallons of poly resin to do the transom,stringers, deck, and bow seating. Plus 15-20 yards of glass mat, and some woven roving.

Pickup a book called "runabout renovation" by jim anderson. You can get it on most internet bookstores. It lays out the entire process and the details can be filled in here.

Search for your boat on here. There are those of us who are doing or have done exactly what you are wondering how to do. Also, make sure your boat is worth the restore and what reason you have for restoring it. There is more to it than just picking which plywood, way more.
