Just got back from a job in Nakusp BC, great small town, and great scenery.
Thank god for bucket trucks and power winders, as we had to drop and role up 3.5 km of strand and cable from 60 old poles that are about to be wrecked out.

Where are the outriggers on the truck to keep it from tipping??? I bet that bucket is a little jumpy out that far to the side ... I know how our ladder and boom fire trucks get and we MUST stabilize them before doing anything with the boom.

No need for outriggers on this truck, it has a 2+ inch torsion bar.
It is a 40 foot boom with 500 pound max in the bucket.
The nice thing about these trucks is you can be fully extended while the truck is moving, so you can place strand and cable (max speed officially while placing 1.5 mph)

We have a wealthy artist in our town who has a large house across the road from the ocean. He paid to have the power lines buried in front of his property so they wouldn't obscure his view.

Oh to have the funds to do that !!! If I had that kind of money I would not see the cables either......as I would be out on my huge boat !!!
