Looking for any information on the following boat manufactured by LoneStar Boats of Texas.

I have purchased a double cockpit Lonestar Aluminum Boat and cannot find any information to tell me what model or year this boat is, hoping to find an early image from advertisement or the likes, so that I may begin a restoration with the correct hardware.

Any Help would be appreciated.

I have been told that they only made this model for 1 or 2 years, it measures approx. 14'-6" Serial # appears to be P maybe B 320186 (the number one is stamped upside down).

Closet model I have found is the Admiral

Re: Lonestar Boat - Double Cockpit

Welcome to the iboats.com forum. I believe it is the single best resource for recreational boaters. The experts here, which I am not, can help you with any question about your boat, motor and trailer. The link below is to the Lone Star page at Fiberglassics.com. Good info!

I owned a Lone Star for 23 years until 2006 and was a member of an owners club on Yahoo. Will try to find that website and post a link for it also. Good luck with that great old boat!

EDIT: Here's the Yahoo! link. Looks like they are still active.

Thanks for the info. on the sites. I checked the Fiberglassics site previously and found the Admiral Model - its a great site for reference and finding your next project. I was not aware of the Yahoo site and will have to join YAHOO to access site, but I'm hopeful that your direction to the Club will be the answer.

Looks like an old Admiral Deluxe! This is a great site, but the yahoo group has all the old advertising stuff and catalogs on there. Mine is a '55 Admiral.

Where is the serial number ? I just got one of these myself and it has a wood transom. Which I think is actually glued over the original. But where in the boat should it be ?

Good looking metal on her.
It has the water trapping beams on the floor. Just like my 16' Lowe. Make the floor boards easily removable to prevent baits & food / drinks from growing under them. Every 2 or so months I put a lot of water in the boat & get on planes with the floorboards left on the dock. I do a lot of sloshing the water around with turns & stops. Then I find a quiet area & go on plane. Pull the rear drain plug & remove junk with a old strainer to keep the water running out. It really keeps the insects & smells away.

Enloy the speedster.
Just remember. The motor does not have a " splash well " to stop rear waves from pouring in like newer boats do.

This is a 2010 thread..................
