New member, boat ID help please?

Hello all, Moe here in Ontario, picking up a boat and don't know anything about it... This seems like a good place, so I'll be around!

This will be my first boat, and I'm a little bit excited if not just for the clean-up work she needs. Been sitting for just over 2yrs, and had an aluminum boat and tarp cover... We'll see how it goes!

There is a plate on the rear of the hull, with numbers on it (serial number, build date, etc?) and the words Sport Ray Mariner, but ye olde faithful google hasn't helped much but I hardly know what I'm looking for... it's a fiberglass boat, I might as well be another language!

If you can make out the hull number clearly, there are websites you punch in the hull number and it'll give you make and model of the boat.

If you can find a hull id number on it somewhere, there is a website if you can find it that has the brands listed by their abriviation on the id number. What about the title, what does it say?

I could be completely wrong (don't you love a disclaimer like that!) - but it looks older than 87 - 89 to me. Just my opinion. Might want to give the numbers another run.

+1 ..... That boat has all the typical lines of an early 60's runabout. It'lll be a fun project if all is sound. Enjoy !!
