hi everyone . i just bought a used 6000 pound shorelandr trailor with the tandem axle trailor . it is for our 1989 thundercraft 220 magnum that we just bought . my question is the trailor had no bunks or rollers on it and the brackets were gone to . i would like to put bunks on it , but i am not sure how many . i see some big trailors with 2 bunks and i see some with 4 bunks on it , not sure what to do . the boat weighs 3500 pounds i was told . any ideas what i should do ? thankyou ..

Well you need two main bunks that hold most if not all the weight and then either a roller or two or two small bunks forward to line it all up.

Helpful?

I suggest One on each side. and would use Good Timber!! 4 X 8 should work good! Another tip I suggest would be to check the angle on your hull and cut your wood to match so that the wood is at a 90 degree angle. When set right, this ensures security against unwanted movement, and also helps when loading!
Good Luck!!
