Polyurethane glue for transom laminate?

It's getting close to time to build a new transom. I have the cap off and most of the flooring out of my bass tracker fiberglass 18 footer. I will need to laminate 2 pieces of ply. I see some use PL but I'm worried about gaps with that. I have used polyurethane glue (gorrilla glue) on other stuff and it really works great and is supposed to be waterproof. Does it sound like a good way to laminate the transom boards? How about adhesion to the outer skin as well? I also think it will cure faster than PL so I can get back to work sooner. Thanks for any advice.

Re: Polyurethane glue for transom laminate?

To glue the two pieces of plywood together..... pl applied and spread with a Spackle knife, gorilla glue, poly resin and a layer of CSM or epoxy resin........ They all work but must be clamped (or screwed together) tightly until dry........ usually 24 hours is safe.

Pl works fine for adhesion....... the motor when secured with bolts will not let anything move.
