Greetings everyone! I have recently aquired an 1969 Johnson 85 (85esl69s). I am not getting any spark to the plugs. I have checked for voltage going into the coil and coming out as well. That checked good. I am not getting anything coming out of the distributor cap, so I removed it. Upon inspection, I noticed 2 small hairline cracks on the underneath side of the cap between the brass terminals. I know this can cause it to "arc" or "jump fire", but shouldn't I still get something? The points are new, and have been set to specs. Is there a way to test the stator with a voa meter? Please advise, as the parts for this "oldie-but-goodie" are relatively expensive. Thanks in advance for all your help!!
