First off hello to everyone.Im a newbie that hopes someone could offer some suggestions to my problem. Took the boat out last weekend and had no issues with it at all after starting it and moving the boat several times trying to find some fish. started it up to move again and when the boat was almost planed off it just died. you can turn it over and it will fire but immediately dies and will not run. i have allready checked to make sure that i dont have a fuel issue so apparently it is some sort of spark issue. im nowhere near a outboard mechanic so any help would be appreciated even if its a good starting point to start checking things. thanks

First have the spark plugs ever been changed? If you think it may be a spark problem pull the plugs and see if they are clean. If the plugs have not been changed since the motor was new you might want to change them and see if that helps. That is probably the cheapest thing you can change on a motor.
Thats where I would start.

the plugs were changed along with the fuel filters about a month ago. i pulled them and cleaned them again a few days ago though. looked fine. checked the fuel filters also to make sure that there wasnt any water in it. no water found. its some sort of spark issue im sure because i even tried putting a mixture of gas and oil into the carbs and it took longer to get it to fire doing that. figured it was getting fuel and was probably a little flooded by the extra fuel that i added.
