Tilt/Trim clicking

Recently i replaced the Tilt/trim solenoid and it still does not raise or lower..all it does is click when the up or down buttons are pushed an ideas..i could use a wiring diagram of the tilt/trim if one is available..it is a 1976 mercrusier 165hp 6cyl...the boat is a mark twain if that matters..thanks

Ayuh,... Merc manual #1, I believe, up in the Adults Only section at the top of this forum...

#2 is the manual you want. #1 only makes it thru 73,

check to make sure solenoid is putting out voltage to trim motor. If it is then either motor is broken or you have lost ground connection.
