ok so here is the question I have a 1967 evenride fisherman 6hp with bad lower unit found a 1972 johnson lower unit from 6hp with blown pwh will it work?

hi.
i would change the powerhad.30 min of wok.
but maybe its easier to change to lower unit with drive shatf.its also 30 min of work
i think lower units will fit it the lenght of drive shaft is the same.
i did change of powerhad between jo 6hp/73 and ev 6hp /78.works fine

Yeah i would be easier to change the power head but the gear box that i have found does not have the mid section and I alredy have the lower unit off of the orginal engine.

thanks for all of the quick replys guys I bought it tonight nee to get impeller gaskets and stuff I will let yall know how it goes. Much better than 1200 on all new internals.
