I have a 1979 85 hp evinrude on my 1980 hp-154 glastron that is having tilt trim issues.I can hear the pump running when pushing switch up or down but the tilt arm/piston does'nt always move. I have flushed and filled with hydraulic oil after placing it completely up filling then brought down then up filled more...etc. After filling correctly it still gets stuck either in up down or somehwere in the middle but the tilt pump still sounds as if it is running when moving toggle switch up or down. I am new to owing an outboard motor but I am mechanically inclined...if any one has any suggestions or help I would be very grateful. Please just explain steps as I am a newbie.
