Need some help with Solenoid?

Hi all,
Im having problem with my outboard starter (200HP Evinrude Vindicator), replaced the starter with an identical new one and still does not start. Can hear (what appears to be) Solenoid closing. But checking with multi-meter and noticed that the out put from Solenoid(?) to the starter does not change, despite having 12 volts at input and hearing the clicking sound.

I have directly applied power to the starter (12 volt jumper from battery) and it took off running. So now I believe the starter is fine.

If that is a Solenoid, it has a p/n 01KS and manufactured by Phelon Co. Where can I get a replacement and any info on that will be greatly appreciated.

yep, your referring to the solonoid, you can go to the Iboats store on this site and order one. But,if you NEED one quickly, many marine stores carry thm.if you go to a BRP evinrude /johnson dealer ,they will hit you up for a manufactures replacement. Not necessary ,and costly
