Ok so the engine ran great last season, first time out this season and everything seems ok, smooth ride out, upon coming off of plane engine was shaking like it was not on all 3 cylinders. weird. throttled back up and it dogged out, wasn't running right. didnt want to get back up on plane, lacking power. i figured one of the carbs must have dirt in it, which is hard to believe w/fuel filters etc. so i let it sit and did some fishing. it acted weird upon restarting, it was spiratic occasionally missing then finally got back up on plain. and got us home.

SO i got it home hooked up the ear muffs, started it up, pulled off plug wires one at a time to find the cylinder that wasnt firing, pulled top off, engine almost dies, pulled off middle nothing happens, pulled off bottome engine almost dies. So it must be the middle one right. SO i pulled middle carb off and cleaned it out, reinstalled, started it up, pulled wires off one at a time again and now the top and bottom cylinders wouldn't fire, and the engine was running on 1 cylinder!?! where they had been the 2 firing before! crazy! So then i pulled all 3carbs off and cleaned well, reinstalled, and now the middle cylinder wouldn't fire again!! and top and bottom r the only 2 firing again. very weird. I am stumped. i'm at my whits end w/this engine. If you have any ideas PLEEEASE HELP. i'm desperate! i haven't had a good day out on the water in tooo long, its sad.

Thanks, David

First, check the spark on all 3 including the plugs that are in it. Then do a compression check. Let us know what you have found out. Good Luck.

Sounds like you need to pull and clean carbs again along with fuel lines & pump. Dried up fuel and trash from lines and pump will plug carbs when it turns loose
