After over 25 years with the same cycle, I am going to say good-bye to it. I can't believe I am doing this, but have been to too many motorcycle accidents lately ... on Thursday was the one that broke the camel's back. Lost a neighbor to a motorcycle accident about 6 weeks ago, and now another neighbor is on life support and not expected to live:(. It seems that every week we (Fire Department) are getting called to another cycle v car/truck accident, and the cycle and cyclist aren't fairing very well. Worse this year than any year and Thursday's accident was as gruesome as I have seen. Enough to make me sell.

Maybe next year I will rethink this and get a smaller touring cycle instead of my Kawie Crotch Rocket. Time will tell. But for now, it is time to grow up and be cycleless! :(:(:(

Sold my Harley after 12 yrs of riding when I started my family and wrapped them in a 5750 lb Dodge truck instead. In simplest terms, survival of the biggest.

Art.....good choice. We like having you around and so does your family. I remember years ago parts hunting with you to get it working right.....

I feel for you, Art. I commuted on mid size touring bikes for several years during my immortal phase and kept a small woods bike for a few years after that.

I was very fortunate that mortality became apparent without trauma. Still miss my Super Hawk on some Spring days, though. :(

Sorry to hear you're giving up the two wheel freedom. I completely understand as I too stopped riding for a few years. Now it's the back way into work at a much more relaxed pace.

What will you be selling? I currently have a '93 Kawasaki ZR1100
