Hey everybody, we've found a wealth of information here would first off like to thank everybody for such a great site.
So here is our problem. We have a 1999 Four Winns Horizon with a Volvo Penta 5.0Gi PWTR, drive unit SX-M 1.60, transom TSK SX-M.
The trim oil hose, running from the trim cylinder on the right side when looking at the transom, broke it's fitting. Unfortunately, this hose comes straight from hell. Apparently, according to our local dealership, you have to pull off the transom to get to it. I have some pictures to better visualize what I'm talking about, if all goes as planned these should be clickable thumbnails:
So my question is, do we really have to take off the entire outdrive down to the transom to get to the fitting for that oil hose? Or is there some special way to be able to reach in through that gap and get to it? It is an 11mm nut.
If we do have to take of the entire sterndrive, does anybody have any advice? Thanks in advance!
