1988 90HP Yamaha boat motor BUZZING

I have a 1988 Yamaha motor on a 1988 Champion Bass boat and when I trim it above 2 when im planed out or run it above 4200 RPM the "BUZZER" goes off!!!!!! I dont understand why....can SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

I would check to make sure you are not tilting to far and starving it for water. The buzz could be overheating. May also have weak waterpump. Make sure it is peeing well when you are running.

The trim is ok its just that if you get over about 4000 RPM's the buzzer goes off and I have to wait a good 15-20 min before it will shut off.....I just dont know why I cant go to the max 5000 RPM's and yes its peeing good!

when was the last water pump change? the last tstat change and the last pressure control valve cleaning.
if the boat is ever used in salt or brackish water it may also need head and water jacket cover removal to manually descale it.

I have no idea when all that stuff has been changed! I just bought the boat last week and the previous owner took it out only 3 times in 2 years. I also dont believe it has ever been in salt water

Change the water pump, thermostats and PRV then see how things are going

Im caring it to a marine shop in the morning so maybe they can figure it out!!!! Thanks for the help everyone!!!!
