starter replacement

I have a 1984 3.0 liter mercruiser, Model MCM140. I need to replace the starter, after taking the wires off, and removing the bolt directly under them, and the bolt that is visible near the flywheel cover right near the silinoid, the starter will not budge..I need assistance on how to get the damn thing out..first boat here and looking forward to your responses..thanks!

Sounds like you have 1 more bolt to go.Near flywheel

Ayuh,... It's attached by 2, 3/8" bolts, straight Up from the bottom...
Use a 9/16" wrench, or thin walled socket...
