Hy, I have a 1973 three cylinder 65 hp mercury. Compression is 115-120 psi in each cylinder. Its getting a lot of water in the top cylinder. Not checked the other cylinders but I think the are staying dry. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, I tried to get the bolts out of the exhaust cover. Got a few out but they were very corroded down in the threads. One snaped and others feel like they will break. Does anybody have any suggestions?

soak em real good with some lube and take it slow trying to get them out. you can also try heating them up with a torch and use some bolt extractors for the broken ones. its a pain i know

Now I have the bolts out only breaking 3. I have ordered gaskets but need a poppet valve kit and everybody says they are unavailble. I was wandering if anybody knows where I can get one for this model motor?
