omc exhaust risers

I am changing out cracked manifolds. How vulnerable are the risers to cracking? I am just wondering if I should go ahead replace. I soaked them in diluted solution of muriatic acid to clean and don not see any signs of failure.

Any suggestions on a vendor to purchase exhaust components from- they all seem the same to me.

dont buy glm manifolds they are horrible in my experiences they are currently setting up a new facility with better qc but for now all you will get from any of there distributers is older stock and bad batches were made. i would buy sierra, barr, osco etc.. risers do crack mostly externally at the bases though no big deal. i like this place alot best prices, the dudes name is darren really cool he handles internet sales masonmarine.net there in pasadena ca, tell em jimmy sent ya. good boating!!! ps... pm me back let me know how it went.

went with the osco because I got them from a vendor in Tacoma which is very close to me vs. buying from the other side of the country. exhaust and boat as a whole is running pretty good- just trying to fine tune and get the overheating issue at 3000 rpm fixed- just changes engine water pump next step is the impeller in the outdrive......uuuuugh!!! Thanks for your input. I need to start helping other people based on my experiences, discoveries and mistakes!
