The water stream does not come out with much pressure on muffs or in the water. After a few minutes overheat alarm comes on.
I am use to water squirting out of these hoses when running

2004 Merc 3cyl. 2 stroke ser#OT899429

1-I have put new water impeller.
2-New thermostat.
3-While t-stat out i backflushed the peestream hose until water flowed out from t-stat housing for a minute.
4-Installed new t-stat and no water would flow out of hose.
5-Removed t-stat and water flows but still what i would call a weak stream, and alarm sounds after running about 5 minutes.

Does this engine have another water pump?
Could sender unit be bad and coming on too soon at lower temp?

Re: Weak water stream

With success I have blown air backwards through the system. And with everything wet. Of course this was on a yamaha 40 2 stroke.

could something be stuck in the water intakes of the foot? Could the Water pump be not turning for some reason, How many rpms are you running during test? Is it for sure the overheat alarm or something else?
