Do you really want to put yourself thru this? Everything you do on this boat will just reveal more problems. I suggest you go to Glen-L.com or Bateau.com and find a design for a wooden boat that you like and start fresh, you won't regret it. Being a retired carpenter I would think you would want to put your own signature on a boat rather than fix someone else's mistakes and neglect.

Just my point of view, good luck with what ever you decide.

Well, at least she sat under in freshwater...if it was cold freshwater, there may not be much damage. If you're up for an adventure and have $1,500 to spare, I'd say go for it...if not, pass-a-rooney.
