i got a 1987 evinrude 25 what can i do to make it go faster besides changing out props.

Firstly make sure what you already have is running at it's peak efficiency. Next make sure your boat is loaded properly to give the best performance. Then if it is still too slow get a bigger motor !!! up to and including the max HP that your boat allows.
