I know virtually nothing about Mercs\mariners I know on my OMC's I can start the motor without having controls hooked up. Is this the case with Mercs? I've got and 88 135 2.ol that I am going to part out but I need to make sure the switch box and coils and such are working so as not to sell a bad part to someone. I hooked the motor up yo a battery and jumped the starter to try and check for Spark and got nothing on all six cylinders Do I need to do something in order to get this thing to fire I don't have any Merc controls. Thanks any and all help is greatly appreciared. Mike
