you missed the thread where I thanked you for your help.

Look down for the thumbs up. Blasting me after a personal complement is kinda rude.

Simple diagnostics would help. Beleive or not this is the computer age. And there is logic in that circuit. Yes it is three switchs but if you cannot experess or comprehend how to explain the logic, you are behind the times. the interlock, yes it is an interlock, look it up to find the meaning, that kept the system from working was the fact that the external tank switch, sensor, look that word up too, was not working. When I bypassed that interlock, it allowed the system to work.

HOW to check a system for someone who thinks differently than you is a fact of life. A suggestion to check the continuity on the level switch in the tank would have saved me around 6 hours in 108 heat index.

I design very complex systems. If you could comprehend them I would be surprised. For others who do not think like you do, a simple list of things to check would be a great help. LIKE THE CONTINUITY CHECK ON THE EXTERNAL tank.

Thank you again for your help. Really ticks me off that I am so appreciative of your help and you come back with a response on how stupid I am.

thanks.

not an attitude,not blasting you.
switches are just that.
they are either on or off.
continuity is just that, you have it or you dont.
and there are 4 switches, just as I stated.
3 in the engine tank and one in the remote tank, just as I stated.
just as I stated SWB,remote tank, closed oil can transfer and the left bar on the tach or green lamp on.switch open,or a broken wire, center bar lit,or yellow lamp and transfer is inhibited.
its also why rigging with the correct yamaha parts makes it so nice.
no its NOT an interlock. its a simple switch that provides the operator with a visual indicate of remote tank level.
once the level drops the oil control circuits detect it and automatic transfr is prohibited, I mean why try to transfer from a empty tank.
there are NO sensors on the yamaha oil system.
only switches and 4 of them.
I was an FC in the USN for 6 years, made E-5 in less than 3 years,CIWS was my primary NEC with Harpoon going to be my secondary.
I imagine I could understand your circuits.
in the first year of my navy carreer no only did I do the boot camp thing but had the equivalent of an associates degreee in electronics from the college of lake county. the next two years were spent in various other advanced electronics courses.
some of which we were trained in troubleshooting and diagram reading.
and precision blend is something I have posted extensivly on.
its an incredibly simpe system, consisting of 3 switchs in the engine tank and one switch in the remote tank and a 12V transfer pump that is permanant magnet DC motor driven.
no digital logic involved.
typically low lights the light, and in this case its green or left bar, open SWB and the center bar is lit or a yellow lamp.

and on june 7th I posted in a reply to you EXACTLY how the remote tank system worked and included wire colors and descriptions.
I understand working in the sun on a work rack in 90+ degree temps. I do it all summer long then get to do it in 30 degree temps in the winter.
toss in some 30 knot winds and it gets aggrevating :).
