35 hp outboard help!!

caught fire last year after backfire
replaced wiring harnness after meted
new starter also i have spark on both plugs
2 new plugs

1988 35 Mercury outboard

Backfires?

Did you somehow manage to switch the plug wires? Or the wires leading to the coils?

sorry wont start

after catching fire the only thing I have done is replace wiring harness and starter


will not start

as I said I do get spark to the plugs
