Help!!! I've got a blown Manifold gasket and when I was taking it off I noticed that I can't take the manifold off because it hits the exhaust pipe and the exhaust pipe doesn't move.

I have removed all of the bolts and the two nuts. It has two studs and that forces me to have to pull the manifold away from the heads but then it hits the exhaust pipe and won't come out.

Has anybody ran into this problem before?

I'm so close but now I seem so far away. Almost like being in Las Vegas. I can see the building but it is much farther away that it looks.

Yep ,have ran into that one before. You will have to unscrew the stud or bolt while supporting the weight of the manifold and then lift the manifold out with the bolt or stud still in there. Little tip leave the forward stud in will help to support the weight until you get the bolt out then rotate the rear side the manifold up over the exhaust tube and pull out. Good Luck!

That did the trick! It was very simple to double nut the old and unscrew it from the head.

Thanks Again!!!

Revers the process to install, slide the gasket on the stud, then manifold. hold 'em up while starting the other stud, OR maybe even better put a regular bolt ( in the other hole as before) on first, snug them up a bit then re-install the stud ( make sure you get it in all the way you dont want to strip out any threads )

Great Work !!! - Good Luck !
