Exhaust Manifold block off plate

My 120 hp Merc's block off plate is blowing water through it.
I picked up the WRONG one at a local marine parts store..
TOO BIG...and it had the lift ring that I was going to work around, but the one I need is about the size of a pack of cigs...(not 100's..lol)

Can any of you old Mercruiser guru's let me know if this part from the iboat store is correct?

Ayuh,... I'd say shop by the #s Kev,... The Serial #s....

If it was easy everybody would do it I guess..

Trying to even get the original Merc # right is a PITA...Mostly everything I see seems to be for a 3.0...which is too big.

I found a GLM part # that seems right, but want to "pay my rent" and get em here...Ya know?

Kev, from the Sierra catalog page665 it lists a gasket 18-8512 for the end cap.
fits GM4 cyl120,140,2.5,3.0, ford SB, gm SB.Looks like a front plate 18-4009 and rear plate18-1912. Can you use one with a hose fitting and just cap it?

I was thinking I could cap one that had a hose fitting if that is absolutely the only option..
