First off car parts are NOT the same as marine parts. Our motors are more like industrial engines running at high rpm for extended periods of time, car parts are not built to with stand this. Not to mention the environment difference. As for your engine i am figuring it is the 2.5 liter but that is just my guess.

What info would you like? The 120 2.5 was last used in american cars in the early 60's. No idea if they ever used them in the UK or not. You won't find blocks or parts for that matter for this engine at a car dealer or autoparts store, it's all marine nowadays, and has been for the last 40+ years.

Well it's a GM block, but Mercruiser is the maker so those are the manuals you are looking for

GM is the maker of the block, Mercruiser is the marinizer of the engine. You can download a factory manual from the adults only section at the top of this forum. You need manual #1.

As far as the year it was manufactored, it's irrelevent, Mercruiser engines do not go by year, they go by serial number.

Click HERE to download service manual #2.

In the UK your chances of finding a non-marine dealer who can get parts for you are 0 or less. Best find a good on-line store and have them shipped in. If you need just standard service items, like water pump impeller, spark plugs, filters and drive gasket sets, get friendly with your local Mercruiser dealer. Your nearest is Conwy Marine Services in, surprisingly, Conwy, in the marina. (Ph 01492 580001).....
