swaping a alpha1 gen 1 for a #1 drive

ok i picked up a number 1 drive to replace my alpha 1. my question is: do i have to swap out the yoke from the alpha1 in order to mount the drive?

im open to all suggestions for this swap-out (newbie)

what was the gear ratio ? does this drive have the same ratio? Is the shaft length the same?

1:98 drive ratio (same) i havent measured the shaft length, i just thought i'd get some info before jumping into this

the older yoke is shorter than Alpha one. I did the same thing and am using the Alpha one yoke with new u-joints. Water impeller kits are the same but the water pump bases are different, wrong one will ruin the drive.
