Portable windowless a/c unit recos

Anyone have a free standing portable a/c unit that blows cold and works great??? I have a 9000 btu with a single exhaust hose that does not cool as well as a 5000 btu window unit.Mine is A Haier.I know these types of units are not as good for cooling but I would like to try a better brand before I abandon using one.Charlie

Yea Haier is JUNK. I have a like new Haier window shaker 6,000 btu and I have an old 5k that smokes it and the Haier puts out about 3,000 on a good day. Pile-a-Junk.

I bet the Maytag portable works good but $700 for 8,000 BTU.

I had an everstar portable 10000 btu that worked very well until the exhaust fan had a melt down. I got it used for $60 and used it for another 3 years before it quit. And no parts to be found. I not sure that comparing temps at the unit it was a whole lot better than my 6000 btu window unit but it had a bigger fan motor and adjustable vents that would really circulate the air. Seems like the small window units just blow straight up and don't cool beyond a small area.

I have an Amcor 8k that does a good job cooling off my camper.
