I recently purchased a 2004 Procraft 185 Pro. These jacks are mounted about a 1/4 and 3/4 down the length of the boat on both sides. They are wired to the battery. It looks like maybe a jack for some type of light but I haven't been able to figure it out. Any help is appreciated.

You'd probably have to trace the wires to see where they go. Any idea what the boat was used for prior to you getting it? Reason I ask is I have seen a boat that was used by some scientists for studying marine life and they had sonars and other measuring equipment all over the boat. But they some RCA jacks that they could move their headphones to around the boat so they didn't have to move equipment or have long cords running everywhere. Probably a pretty far strech but just throwing that out there.

I don't know what the boat was previously used for, but I did trace the wires and they do go to the battery. Yes, they do look like guitar jacks, but I have been unable to find any type of light that would plug into them. I would like to find out just incase I would like to purchase some of them.

ring/tip type connections are very poor choice for power applications. They short out momentarily when you plug/unplug them. NORMALLY it is quick enough to not blow a fuse, but there is a spark from it.

Black light plugs. I've seen them before on boats that do a lot of night fishing. The black lights make your flourescent mono glow. Just a guess but that's what I've seen.

Yes they are for black lights. I don't have power jacks like those, but I use rechargeable black lights for night fishing.

Also used for shrimping lights. You can plug in the jacks and then hook to the battery so the fuse doesn't blow. It's got to be a home-made set up. I would never do that on a boat.
