hi ,its me again, the problem started when i first test the boat to run in the water, i have a bayliner capri with 125hp force .a replacement of the oldforce 90hp. it start good while im in the water but when i tried to throttle reverse or forward it died, no problem with starting the motor. i tried to tilt up the motor and throttle , it runs, butwhen i tried tiliting it down it stop again. can someone help me to fix this problem, thanks

Check for spark at all of the plugs and do a compression test.

Your post is a little hard to read and understand.are you saying when the motor is tilted up you can put it in gear and it runs, or does it stall in this position too?

thanks guys for the reply, yes when i tilt it down the water( the motor) it stall. but it start in neutral.thanks again

Neutral rpms in gear have to be 750-800. Lower than that, it will cough out under load.

I'm thinkin if the rpm's check out then the problem is most likely fuel related. Sounds to me like you may need to check your carbs (maybe the float level). If the engine seems to engage only while it's tilted that could be your problem.

I had a similar situation where the engine wouldn't choke so I would manually tilit her up to get her started until I had time to fix the problem.
