Lower Unit Help Please???

I've got a 4.3ltr mercruiser I.O. My wife was driving slow and we hit a rock. She paniced and hit the throttle. Sheered a fin off the prop and now the propeller does not spin in gear (throttled) and dies in reverse. With motor off and in gear it still only spins one direction like it supposed to. What could possible be wrong with lower unit? Anything else to check?

Could have spun the prop hub. Have you replaced the broken prop? If its not the prop possibly broken shaft in the drive.

Drive shaft does not spin when Key off, throttle forward and spinning prop by hand in reverse direction.
