I have the Quicksilver 3000 classic, I replaced the kill switch and now it starts when it is in the off position????, so I reversed the 2 wires and it still starts in the off position and will kill the power when in the run position. Any help is appreciated...thank you.

Re: Kill switch HELP

did you replace with an oem switch? if it was anything but a "kill" switch it wouldn't be that big of a problem (running a light bulb backwards is still a light bulb) but because of the nature of how the kill switch works you will need to find one that is "open and closed" the opisite of what your new one is now

Re: Kill switch HELP

Welcome to iboats!

My kill switch has 4 terminals, 2 for outboards, 2 for I/Os or inboards. If yours does also, try the other 2 terminals.

Re: Kill switch HELP

If the switch you have is a "toggle" type where pulling the lanyard flips the toggle, you may have the switch upside down. Turn it around and it will work fine.
