What company made this jon boat?

I bought this boat and trailer pretty cheap . I had to claim for lost title but I did happen to find a Hin # 256111AK1570.Im just trying to find out who made it and possibly when. Im clueless.

I can tell you there's a good chance the model year is 1970.

Are you sure that's the HIN? Or the entire HIN?

I'd expect the HIN to begin with a three letter MIC (Manufacturer's Identification Code). I've only known these to be alphabetical. Your number starts with 256. Maybe because it was manufactured before 1972 and the HIN format was different prior to 1972.

Welcome to iboats.

Nope that is a serial number.

Hull Identification Numbers (HIN) did not become standard until the early 70's and all the manufacturers were on-board by 1974. A HIN will begin with three letters.

You can basically call it almost anything in your case...... alumacraft, duracraft, lund, starcraft, sears, wards etc
