Hey rinker, I moved this out of the Outboard section to get some more general info for you.

My answer is the cheapest stuff you can find, but you will get a lot of disagreement with that

I personally like Collinite 476. I use it on my Jeep and the boats, cant bead the beading and durability.

Nu Finish....maybe not considered a wax, but surely works wonders on my boat.

I just ran a google search on "boat wax reviews". There is some interesting information and of course some advertising. Gelcoat is different from the clearcoat on automotive finishes so it makes sense to me that different products are called for. In any case, here are the links that showed up and they may provide some insight or perhaps just fuel for the fire!
