What GM engine innerchanges with the Volvo 3.0

Hi I am new to boating, the boat I bought had a blown head gasket and I did not know. So now I need to replace the motor. I have family that own a junkyard so I was hoping to save some money and replace the motor from something that comes out of a wrecked car. [I understand I will need to reuse my head and exhaust, along with some other parts] but I can not figure out what would inner change with this. I know it is a GM 181 but that is all I can figure out at this point. Does anybody know of a site I can look at what my motor options would be, or what motor I could replace this one with?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

The 3.0 is not a car motor, it is a marine/industrial motor, you will not find one in a junk yard unless it is a boat junkyard.....

Thanks for the response, sorry I might not have been clear enough. I know that Volvo used GM blocks for their motors, what I was looking for is what GM motor would be inner changeable.

Volvo, Merc, OMC, are all the same GM block, & that one was used for marine application....
You will not find it in a wrecked car because it was never used in an automobile application......
There is no interchanging, there is only one option for the 3.0 & that is another 3.0.....Sorry.....

...or you could try a generator or boom lift....

A 3.0 from OMC, Merc or Volvo will fit.

What damage did the blown head gasket cause? might just be cheaper and easier to repair damage or rebuild and be on your way.
