Planning on a Cincy to Louisville run around 27 August. Is there any marinas in the Louisville area that have some sort of housing option?

There are docks downtown at water front park that are within walking distance of hotels. These docks have electric and water. Contact Louisville's Water Front for details (http://www.louisvillewaterfront.com)

There are no marinas with with lodging.

there is also municipal dock up river at Tumble Weeds it is sheltered from barge wake by Towhead Island it is also the LMPD river patrol HQ is on the same dock.

I attached a link that might help. it doesn't cost anything ad you can update information and post reviews I would also goto the USACE websight and get the river maps you can dowload them free McAlpine Pool is from MArkland to McAlpine http://www.lrl.usace.army.mil/optm/default.asp?mycategory=41

I don't know if you have ever locked through so here is another link from USACE on that

The restaurant with slips behind Towhead Island is a Tex-Mex place called Tumbleweed. Very popular and has good food. No nearby hotels.
