Have had this little motor for 30 yrs. Runs fine with the Sears tank with the little bulb pump and tiny hose. You can still but these tahks. Problem is i am tired of buying them. Have bought $200 in tanks for a motor that is progbably now worth $100. These things just seem to discentegrate in this 100 degree TX heat. I tried using a big tank once but the bulb seemed to suck shut or something so had to go back to little tank. Does anyone know if these motors will run on any kind of good metal tank assembly? Sure thanks for any help. dlange

I think the smaller Honda's run with the smaller diameter hose. Maybe you can try one of their tanks or just put a hose reducer in your line

I just bought a universal in line fuel filter and ran 3/8 on the tank side and a 1/4 fitting on the motor side with a six inch piece of 1/4 inch fuel hose to the motor.

If you want to get rid of any kind of crud in a tank you "CLR" ,Calcium, Lime and Rust remover, in a 1.5 gallon tank i use a full bottle of the stuff,(twice) to get rid of the gunk and make it shiny new. A 5 gallon tank I use 3 bottles filled with hot water to ride all gunk. Let set over night. Rinse twice with gas.
