Hi all, I have a 1977 Cobia cuddy with a 140 hp Johnson. Boat and motor probably weigh in at 3000-3500 lbs. I don't know what size prop is on the boat now but I was wondering what would be a decent prop for this setup ( just in general). Thanks.

Re: what size prop?

Did you happen to see the "Read This First" sticky at the very top of this page? You gave us nothing to work with. We don't know what prop you have now nor what your wide open throttle rpm is with an average load, and what you are trying to accomplish. You didn't tell us "why" you want a different prop. Fact is you may already have the optimum prop. Just so you know -- there is no such thing as a "stock or standard" prop. Every boat and motor combination is different. A 140 Johnson on a fast hull takes a different prop than a 140 Johnson on a work boat or pontoon.

remove your prop an you should be able to find some numbers stamped into it. that will help you know what size it is..
