rude low speed

my 1979 evenrude i just had new head gasket replaced and milled to get a good seat runs fine for two days filled gas tank up with proper mixture ran fine than had to down throttel at high speed due to sterring pin fell out lost control went into a circle till it slowed down every since it wont idle, pulled plugs were wet replaced with new plugs idled fine for about 2 min than same thing, runs fine on top end and all other ranges but wont idle will stop but will start right up, ran fine till incident of pin fell out and filled up with gas may drain gas and refule may be problm I dont know , need to get back out in my boat to relax avaitor

Draw some fuel and inspect for water, let it settle in a glass bottle.
Try running on a small deck tank with fresh fuel too.

Otherwise , if its been a while ( like NEVER?) rebuild the carbs with carb kits, read the top secret FAQ files for instructions, if you don't run wire through the jets you may as well not bother.

thanks sounds good i will try small tank with new gas i suspect i got two much oil in gas the last time i put gas in it i might have doubled it thats wy the plugs foul out, might be problem, i hope
