Dumb Question

Hey guys, it's been a while (ten years) since I had a boat. My old engine was a 90HP Johnson that was Oil Injected. Well, I just picked up an 18 Ft C/C with a 1993 88 HP Evinrude O/B. This is Not oil injected. Do I need to add oil to the gas? 2 Cycle Oil, I presume? How much?

if they took off the oil injection system, of course it has to be mixed.

If you are premixing your gas use a 50:1 ratio, 1 pint of oil to 6 gal gas.

Oil labeled 'TCW-III" to be precise.

The 1993 88 Special didn't have a VRO. You mixed your fuel 50:1. That's what made it "Special"
