I have been searching for some time today for 1964 Johnson SeaHorse 5.5 HP (CD-21A) fuel pump kit. I have noticed the fuel pumps themselves are about 100$. I am wondering if anyone knows a location for the kit.

I tried to "rig" a bicycle tube to act as the diaphragm, but so far have had poor results; I believe the material is just too thick. If you have any other suggestions, please do tell. If you know of a location to purchase the kit, or a relatively cheap location to purchase the entire fuel pump (which I would hate to), please let me know.

Furthermore, while I have you here, I would like to confirm the Johnson Model Number CD-21A is a 1964. My only concern was the "A," which I believe is really of no concern, at the end of the model number.

Thanks Guys!

CD 21= 1964
I could not find a listing for a pump kit, the OEM pump is a 379297 that changes to a 388685, maybe someone will come along and be of more assistance.

Welcome to iboats.

That is indeed a '64, the A is the suffix or model run.

I believe "www.laingsoutboards.com" has fuel pumps for about 60 bucks, but Im not sure about a rebuild kit.
