the pee stream temperature

how hot should the water be that comes out of the pee stream part of the motor? i just replaced the water pump and just want to make sure everything is running ok......water temp seems pretty hot, but im really not sure how it should be! it's 140 degrees

I have a 2007 Merc 4 stroke and at idle the pee stream is too hot to hold your hand under.

It's just as hot on my 1999 25 hp stroke too!

my pee stream temp is about 98.6 degrees.

If you use a bucket of water the temp it going to get hotter and hotter, best bet is to use muffs and a hose if you not on the water. I just bought a cylinder block temp gauge. If I'm out on the water I'm not going to take the cowl off every ten minutes to feel the block. Heres the link

That water is gonna be the same as the head.HOT! Then when the thermo opens it will be cooler.J
