Just north east of were the 2010 winter olympics were held a massive landslide broke free from a glacier and tore down into the Pemberton valley.

Wow, that's 52,318,024.551 cubic yards for all you metric challenged folks out there. Or to put it in perspective that would be 235,431,110,479.5 bags of top soil from the local home center. That's a lot of dirt.

This is the second largest slide in BC in the last 50 years.
The largest was the Hope Slide at I believe was 46 million cubic meters of rock, not glacial till.
That slide took out four people and a small lake and raised the height of the valley floor 79 meters +-.
