lower end swap info

ok will a 140 hp merc 1974 lower end unit fit on a 90hp merc they are both listed in the same reair manual both are strait 6 clylanders they look very simalar ?lower end units

Yes provided they are both inline sizes, of 1970 or later.

the splines seam cut alittle diferentbut very similar i did put a micromiter on them they have same count and configuration one dose have alittle deeeper cuts but i think it will still fit nice one is a 1974 and the other is a 1978

Even the gear ratios are the same (2:1)...
