little or no spark

I have a 1984 bayliner with a volvo penta 2.1 liter aq125b was running fine then started missing bad i have put new points,cap,rotor,condensor,plugs and wires and still have rough idle and miss so i tried another set of plugs still no luck. all cylinders seem to have good spark but #1 you can pull wire while running and it doesnt change

Did you check the base timing? Make sure the Dizzy is bolted down tight.

Just to make sure, Pull spark plug #1 and check to make sure there are no cracks in the porcelain. I have changed hundreds of plugs on autos with never cracking one. On a boat for some reason, I have had them crack.

If not this, what about the dwell setting? is it correct?
