I have a tac installed in the dash, but the wires dont run all the way to the motor, how do i hook them up, i kow there is supposed to be a black, purple and brown wire (I think), but where do they hook up on the engine?
If your control box has a 1 to 3 wire plug below your ignition switch this will be much easier for you, if it has it then just follow those wires from the plug to where they end, chances are it will lead under the dash because this is a tach plug.
If you don't have that plug, no worries. There is a black wire which is your ground, a purple which is your (+) accessory, and a gray which is your tach sginal wire, this is the same with or without the plug.
Thanks, but your picutre did not come through on the post. as far as i can tell, the tac has wires coming out of it, but they run about half to the engine and stop at a plug, but thats it.
