Has anyone ever mounted a kicker off the swim ladder off the back end? If so, what kind of mount was used?

I really don't like the idea of putting a separate mount that requires drilling into the back end of the boat.

I have had a kicker on the swim step, but the swim step is not as strong as you might think.
Also a 4 stroke kicker is a lot heavier than a 2 stroke. If you use the bracket mount it over a support.
I don't like drilling any holes in by boat either but it is better than tearing a big hole when the swim step pulls out. I did not lose my kicker but came close.
Heidiho

I would be putting on a 4 hp two stroke Evinrude as a backup in an emergency and if it proves strong enough, to troll too.

Cobra - No problem with a 4hp if you have a secure mount. I had a 9.9 on the swim platform of a 27'er years back. Underpowered for a 27'er but it got me home a couple of times.
